HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE DOJANG

SHOW RESPECT

• Don't talk, unless it is urgent
• No Gum
• No Eating
• Be On Time
• Respect your teachers and other students (not just the high ranks)
• Respect the dojang
• Respect your opponent
• Behave correctly
• Always wear a clean, pressed dobok
• Have Clean hands and feet (short nails)**
• No jewelry allowed (except wedding ring or medical alert)
• When entering or leaving make a respectful bow

• Come to class with clean hands, feet, face and hair
• Be sure finger and toe nails are clean and neatly trimmed at all times
• Apply underarm deodorant before class
• DO NOT use heavily scented perfumes or colognes before coming to the DoJang.
• If you have warts, sores, or cuts on your hands they must be bandaged ore otherwise covered so as to not spread infection.
• If you have plantar warts, athlete’s feet, cuts or sores on your feet they too must be bandaged and you must wear suitable foot gear.
• If you have Poison Ivy, Sumac or some other like issue please do not participate in class until you can no longer spread it.
• If you have MRSA, Strep, Pink Eye, heavy cold or some other communicable disease please do not attend class.
• DO NOT DRINK FROM SOMONE ELSE’S BOTTLE OR SHARE FOOD THEY HAVE ALREADY BEGUN EATING.

Semper Fi TKD strongly discourages the use of any tobacco product by its students and instructors.

• At no time is alcohol consumption condoned for underage students or instructors. Alcohol consumption by adults should be in very moderate amounts.
• Use of non-prescription drugs or other mind altering substances by any student or instructor is strictly forbidden.
• Bringing illegal substances into SFTKD will result in arrest and prosecution.
• Instructors and students found to be using non-prescription or abusing prescription drugs or abusing alcohol will face immediate loss of all martial arts rank and expulsion from SFTKD.
