FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

Semper Fi Tae Kwon Do offers two unique ways by which an organization can raise money FREE. This is a real chance for your group to make a lot more money than carwashes, candy or bake sales combined. There are no cases of candy to keep track of, no begging of a local merchant to use his place for a carwash and no moms baking thousands of cookies/brownies. WE do most of the work, your organization gets the $$$.


     OPTION #1. HOST A MARTIAL ARTS DEMONSTRATION

Martial Arts attendance is at an all time high. Now is your chance to cash in on the huge public interest. Here's how it works:

• Semper Fi Tae Kwon Do will conduct a two hour entertaining and informative Martial Arts/Self-Defense demonstration at a time, date and location of your choice. SFTKD has been conducting public demonstrations for more than three years. We are fully insured($1,000,000)
  
• You will find suitable location like a gym or a hall. It would be best if you can get a place that will seat a good number, then you can sell more tickets. If a police detail is required by the city or town it is your responsibility to hire and pay for it.
• You set the ticket price ($5.00 is very reasonable). Your group sells as many tickets as the location will hold. This is all your money
• Your group sells refreshments (soda, water, strips of pizza, etc). This is all your money too!
• You can even create a program book and sell advertisements. Again, all your money!
• Use the event to do a recruiting drive for the Civil Air Patrol. Have some members in uniform handing our CAP literature and have an enrollment desk.
• Your responsibility to SFTKD is simply this...pay for the cement slabs and boards broken during the demonstration (you will be given receipts for them to ensure that you are paying only for the cement and boards and that SFTKD is making no profit on them).
• You will allow SFTKD to hand out their martial arts school flyers to those in attendance.

This is a simple way to raise money and provide the community with self-defense awareness.
     OPTION #2. HOLD A HOME & GARDEN PRODUCTS SALE

High quality beautifully fragrant, lead free, hand poured candles and awesome hand and body lotions are a very popular consumer purchases. Here's how it works:

• Semper Fi TKD provides your members with colorful sales packets. They carry no product. They just take orders and collect payment.
• For each item sold, CAP will receive $2.00 (ranging from $6.50 to $14.50) compared to the .50 you get for selling a $1.00 candy bar.
• When orders arrive, Semper Fi bags and tags each individual order and brings them to the fundraising coordinator for distribution.
• A small school in nearby Massachusetts recently wanted to raise $100.00. Only 28 students participated but they had a very pleasant surprise by easily raising $1050!
